'The Presence of Absence' is a Work in Progress that explores a personal process of writing a diary. It is a performance without the physical presence of the performer’s body. It proposes an image of a body, like slices of snapshots in time connected in our imagination through our ability of self-reflection and memory. The presence of absenceis inspired by those who are absent from the process of writing the history and remain in the shadow of ‘otherness.’ It investigates the notion of ‘the absence’ not, as a passive, non-participatory mode but, rather, as an empty space filled with the potentiality of being.

In the middle of the Covid-19 crises, the interruption of time threatens the existence of the Self. 'The Presence of Absence' offers a space for communication with the fragmented Self and the imaginary spectator.
